A Law of Power

I'm not sure if you know about it. His media company is launching a Mango Classico line of comics, "Darna." They got the rights to Mars Arevalo's classic Filipino comic. The artwork is great. I think he got together with some of his Alamat friends and they put it together. Launched na ata siya. The idea is great, the artwork is great. Kaya lang hindi talaga siya bagay sa Globe. Hindi ko naman nilalait ang concept ng "Darna" at sinasabi kong baduy siya. Hindi lang talaga siya angkop sa brand image ng Globe. Yun lang.

I figure, if Kensai ever sees my posts on SNN he will hate me or be genuinely scared of me. Whatever. Okay naman siyang kaibigan e. But I also understand all your frustrations with him. I had those frustrations too. Even as a friend. I just don't understand why you all had to throw away the friendship. That's very tragic. His pride din kasi is just too high. Oh well.

Anyway, I want to thank you guys. For some reason, after I started reading and writing at SNN I've had the renewed energy to attack my M.A. (Eng Lit) thesis again. It's been two semesters already and I've been dragging my feet. But when I read that Agham is actually going to present a paper at Columbia U. I thought... "Why can't I just finish this damned thesis? It's not even an international paper or a book. Why don't I just get my act together?" Well, I sort of did. I've revised my thesis statement and restructured the theoretical framework. So lahat ito ginagawa ko habang nagbabasa ng Conspiracy. Hmmm. I'm strange. I've never denied it.

By the way, my sentiments last April 23, 2001 (Monday), quoted verbatim from personal journal: I read, last night, what I had dreaded for so long now but did not really want to acknowledge. That I was insignificant to him. That he even laughed at me. All those years, and only his contempt. How silly it all seems. What I did like was the exchange on SNN. I wished for a moment that I was a part of it and not merely a reference in it. But then, would I have to be male? I wished for a moment that I was just one of them.

Uh, why did Agham re-post the thing on New Products. Di ba naka-post na ito sa Conspiracy? Also, why am I posted on Conspiracy? Di naman nagco-complain. Nagtatanong lang. Dahil may kaugnayan ako kay Sanot?
