“I hate CNN but you guys are my friends.”

This seems to be the gist of the current “spate” of Jailhouse-mail. I don't know what to make of this. At first, they seem to be acknowledging that CNN _is_ an alternate reality, even throwing it back at us, challenging us to separate CNN from the “true” friendship. But then again, if CNN is so different, why were they so hurt and angry enough to leave it in the first place?

Hindi ko na sila maintindihan. Hindi ko na sila kilala. And because of this, I find it hard to call them my friends.

Umalis sila sa CNN, tapos ngayon parehong silang humihingi ng e-mail. Ano ba? Gusto niyo ba talaga ng e-mail mula sa amin o ayaw niyo? Pero hindi nga pala e-mail ang CNN. CNN is a supposed alternate reality.

They did not explicitly ask to be returned to the recipient list of CNN, kaya wag na tayo maging lotal ito presumido at ibalik sila. Mataas na pagtitingin na naman ito sa sarili ko, but I am not stopping anyone from writing them personal mail.

Ang gulo na ng mga pangyayari. I do not claim to be right in any way. I think the best solution right now is to forget they even exist. And for them to do the same. Mas mabagal ang pag heal ng sugat kung laging kinakalkal ang scab.

Hindi nga pala ito CNN.
