Ano to? Another anthology edited by the great Gardner Dozois? Yung isang regalo ko dati kay Sylvia, The Best of Sci-Fi 1996. Suwerte ang pagka hanap ko ng libro ito. Kasama ko pa noon si Ed the vampire. Hindi ko na nakita ang other Best of Sci-Fi books edited by Dozois. Si Dozois din ang editor ng famous Asimov anthologies, tulad ng Earth, Robots, etc.
Pagan : Buti ka pa nakakapag-sulat pa ng verse.
When I write now, I draw upon my Night City adventures. Tama na yung pa-intellectual. Ang mission ko ngayon is to show what a nerd is thinking when put in situations familiar to “regular” people. Helen is about meeting a girl in a bar. Gusto ko ipakita sa mundo na maraming gamit ang utak, hindi lang para sa intellectual or scientific pursuits.

Deh. Basta WC mas maganda ang Kilrathi ang kalaban. I'm sure Privateer 2 is a great game, lalo na for a WC fan like me, but nothing beats fighting with Kilrathi. Kaputanginahan lang talaga yung WC3 dahil winarat yung characters at yung kuwento. Ibang aliens ang kalaban sa WC : Prophecy. Tapos makikita mo raw yung remains of Kilrah.

The next step in any Pinoy band's life is writing their own songs. We haven't worked together long enough to figure out how to go about this creative activity. Pero na jam na namin ang Helen. Ewan ko ba. That's a little too far ahead for my remaining mental facilities. Ang iniisip ko lang ngayon ay yung gig namin sa March.
Agham : Ano kaya ang ginagawa niya sa Pilipinas?
Madaming Hollywood actors ngayon sa Pinas. Last Thursday I missed Bill Pullman at the Verve. Claire Danes is also here. She and Pullman are working on the same film. Hindi ko alam kung kasali din sa kanila si Corin Nemec. Or Nemec could be involved in David Hasselhoff's film project also being shot here. Oo, nandito rin si Michael Knight.

Agham : Interesting concept itong social entropy na ito. Galing ba ito kay Rifkin?
Merong libro dito sa Cape Fear ang title Social Entropy and Human Involution. Pinoy ang nagsulat. Dito ko nakuha ang term na social entropy. Hindi ko pa nababasa ang libro kasi tungkol sa paradigm paradigm at institutional institutional kaya parang boring. So hindi ko alam kung ano talaga ang social entropy. Social Entropy in a CN context ay parang yung sabi ni Hec; ...hayaan mo nang mawarat yung relasyong mawawarat naman talaga.
Shh, siyempre sasabihin ng iba jan a social relationship has no entropy dahil hindi physical na bagay ito. Dalawa ang sagot jan. One, kung walang entropy ang isang bagay, hindi ito totoo. Or two, yung ginagamit ng katawan mo, i.e. your brain, to make the social relationship function ay nag e entropy. The software may be fine, but if your computer is broken, you won't be able to use the software.
Ang mga ma Diyos Diyos ay mag di disagree sa statements na ito. Saan ka naman makakahanap ng ateo na tulad natin? If there are other Pinoy atheists out there, makakasabay ba yon sa ibang gawain ng CN? Sila Alagao, nakasabay noon kahit papaano sa kalokohan, pero nalotal sa paniniwala. May tao kayang makakasabay sa kalokohan AT sa paniniwala ng College of Chaos?
Haughty generalization ito, pero sa tingin ko yung ateo talaga ay magiging masyadong pa-intellectual para sa ibang activities natin tulad ng Gundam at bideo senshi. At yung taong matutuwa naman ay masyadong bobo para sa pilosopiya.
Pero ang totoo sigurong reason kung bakit walang makatagal sa CN ay dahil asshole tayo (or at least ako) at lotal na kaibigan.
